The Texas Veterans Commission is a state agency that assists veterans and their families
with federal and state benefits, including assistance with disability claims, employment
services and education benefits.
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a non-profit charity dedicated to building better
lives for America鈥檚 disabled veterans and their families. The DAV was founded in 1920
by disabled veterans returning from World War I and in 1932 was congressionally chartered
as the official voice of the nation鈥檚 wartime disabled veterans.
