Teaching Philosophy
REALISM: I follow the Realism Philosophy of teaching. The realist teaching philosophy states that reality and the mind's perception of it are separate phenomena. There are objective truths and values, my goal of education is to promote rational modes of thought to uncover what truth is. I try to focus on teaching critical thinking and the scientific method. By these means students can overcome their preconceptions and biases and approach a more logical perception.
Through my career in business, finance, and economics, I share (along with theory) real expectations and requirements of being in management functions in the business world.
Outside Interests
Family, Church, º«¹úAV, Community, Golf and Travel.
Family: I believe in a complete quality circle of life that includes Family, Career, and health related activities. Family gatherings and events are supported to encourage growth and development. All family members have been raised in the church and have an understanding of service to others.
º«¹úAV: I attend student gatherings, support sports programs through donations, mentoring, etc.
Community: Since 2017 I have been a Director and Treasurer, Sonoma Ranch Homeowner's Association, Inc. managing the financials of the HOA. Through my wife's involvement in Parkinson's Disease and its' Support Groups, I volunteer when needed and assist each year in the Annual Christmas Toy Drive.
