Teaching Philosophy

Education aims to provide a compassionate, confident, and inspiring atmosphere where students can develop emotionally, socially, and academically. I create a safe learning environment, enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and team-based learning that motivates and strengthens content mastery while providing individual fulfillment to all. I continue to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion through my performance in professional activities, research, and in my teachings. Students must have the freedom to express creativity by establishing personalities enabling advancement within their profession.

My role as an educator is to aid individuals in developing and enhancing their potential through motivation and inspiring students to explore their max potential through diversity, equity, and inclusion. I deliver curriculum in a way that creates curiosity and life applications and allows time for individual discovery. Furthermore, along with my teaching philosophy, I aim to provide an atmosphere that embraces current technology that will enhance job placement for graduates through expanded learning.

Outside Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family, attending my two sons' sporting events, and traveling to new and exciting places. My hobbies include contributing to social change through actively participating in mentorship programs in my community with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program and in my industry with the Lighthouse Leadership Program. I also enjoy being active in professional organizations such as the American College of Healthcare Executives and performing research in business and healthcare. Lastly, I continue to serve my community as a paramedic.
