May 08, 2020
Joel Gonzalez
Major: Criminal Justice
Campus Activities and Achievements: I was a member of the Men’s Soccer Team, and, thanks to º«¹úAV Events Services, I was
a part of San Antonio’s 2019 Fiesta Flambeau parade, º«¹úAV’s 5K Confetti Run. I also
volunteered at McCullough Hall with the Sisters. All these events were highlights
of my time at º«¹úAV and they will stick with me forever.
Impact of º«¹úAV: º«¹úAV has impacted my life in many ways, but the biggest impact was the friends I
made along the way, who I now consider family.
An important life lesson: The biggest life lesson I learned was to never give up on your goals, no matter how
life gets, always strive and always trust your mentors.
Plans for the future: I hope to obtain my dream job as a Texas Game Warden, and to showcase the proper
professional experience which I learned from º«¹úAV. I am currently in the application
process to become a U.S. Border Patrol Agent. In the long term, I hope to obtain my
dream job as a Texas Game Warden, and to showcase the proper professional experience
which I learned from º«¹úAV.
