Impact of º«¹úAV: During my time at º«¹úAV, I met the friends that I know will be my friends for the rest
of my life. Coming into º«¹úAV I thought that it was going to be hard to make friends,
but everyone was always so friendly and welcoming. Additionally, º«¹úAV provided me
with a good education, and I was able to learn so many things from my professors. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
An important life lesson: I think that one of the biggest lessons that I learned while at º«¹úAV is how important
it is to serve the community. During my first semester I was able to volunteer for
the Interfaith Welcome Coalition. This group focuses on meeting the changing needs
of asylum seekers, refugees, and at-risk immigrants in collaboration with others.
I took a couple of other service-learning classes that really taught me the importance
of serving my community and how good it feels to know that I am making a difference. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
Plans for the future: I hope to be able to get a job in my career field and I hope to continue helping
my community.
