Master of Arts in Counseling Online
The Master of Arts in Counseling program offers three different specializations to allow students to tailor their learning goals to their career goals. These programs are offered fully online to provide working professionals with the opportunity to further their career while maintaining their current employment.

This concentration will provide the knowledge and skills necessary to address a wide variety of circumstances within the context of school counseling including assessing and finding solutions to common behavioral and learning problems, promoting psychological health and implementing effective career development planning. Students have the option of pursuing the track that will meet the academic requirements for licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) in Texas.

This specialization will prepare students to support clients of all ages and cultures as they overcome their emotional health challenges. Students who complete this specialization will reach the academic requirement for licensure as a professional counselor (LPC).

Students will be prepared to specialize as clinical rehabilitation counselors demonstrating the professional knowledge and skills necessary to address a variety of circumstances within the clinical rehabilitation counseling context. They will be able to be employed as rehabilitation counselors at both private and public agencies, companies, hospitals, non-profit organizations and beyond. Students will be trained in three areas as outlined by the 2016 Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Program (CACREP) standards. This specialization meets the academic requirements for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification as well as a Certified Rehabilitative Counselor (CRC).

Admission Requirements
- Completed 韩国AV application and nonrefundable application fee
- An earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Official, sealed transcripts from all regionally accredited institutions previously attended
- A personal statement
- List of two academic or personal sources and their contact information
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale) on undergraduate work and a 3.0 for the last 60 hours
- If cumulative GPA is below 3.0, applicants must have a satisfactory score on the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) taken within the last five years
- An interview arranged by the department
- Any international applicants must also submit a passing score of 26 or higher on the speaking section of the TOEFL-IBT, per state guidelines for demonstration of oral communication skills prior to admission to teacher education
- Completed FERPA Consent to Release Education Records and Information Form-Written consent release of test records to certification officer and program faculty
